Advert Page
I asked my focus group what I could do to improve the advert page, and some said that the shape of the ceiling doesn't really fit with the design and made the page look crowded. I therefore used the healing brush tool on Photoshop to hide the ceiling, and moved the '50% off' sign to the bottom of the page. I also moved the other circle further into the top corner as it's more conventional for advert pages.

Focus Group Opinions - Advert
I was unsure how I should advertise my magazine, so I asked my focus group what I should do out of the following options:
- Jewellery (6)
- Furniture (12)
- Car shop (2)
The majority of my focus group thought that furniture would be the most practical option as it would be easiest to get permission to take photographs, and it would also appeal to my new target audience of families.

Focus Group Opinions - Front Cover

My target audience was originally going to be 15-25 year old's, but many people in my focus group commented on how young the model looks, and that it could look as if the magazine is aimed at children. Since I didn't have time to take more photographs in London, my focus group advised that I should change the target audience to families with older children. I therefore changed the phrase 'The Best of Winter in London' to 'The Best of Family Winter in London' to clearly establish my new target audience. Since I haven't done much to the other pages yet it's still possible to design the magazine with the wider target audience in mind, so that it appeals to all people within the new demographic. I'm still going to take inspiration from 'Time Out' magazine as it also covers a large target audience and will help me include information that would be interesting to a wider variety of people- I'm also going to add more people to my focus group.

Mock Ups - Feedback
Front Cover
The majority of my focus group (18/20) said that they liked the masthead font, but 14/20 said I should make it a different colour. I'm therefore going to use this font in my final construction and change the colour based on the photo I take. Everyone in my focus group said it would look more conventional to have a price above the bar code, and some said I should ensure that the photo I take has a darker background so that the text is clearer. Some said that it would look more conventional to have more text on the page.
Contents Page
All of the group agreed with me that the layout was untidy and therefore not professional looking and conventional for regional magazine contents pages. 17/20 said I should try and link the contents page design with the front cover to have better brand consistency, for example by having a photograph of the same model or having a similar colour scheme. 15/20 people said that I could have similar sized images to improve the layout.
Advert Page
17/20 people in the group said that I should make sure the photo I take is better quality than this one, but the majority of people liked the layout. 8/20 people said I should make the ellipses more interesting, for example by giving it a folded corner or a glossy effect. People also said that I should ensure that the text and lines are lined up properly.
